Assistant Principal - Mission

The Assistant Principal - Mission is a senior, executive leadership position. The major purpose of this role is to ensure that the College stays faithful to its evangelising mission and that all activities associated with the development of Catholic Life are planned, purposeful and contribute to the mission of Aquinas College.

The successful applicant will have:

  • An understanding of Ministerial Order 870 on Child Safety as it relates to the College's Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and practice.
  • Proven ability and experience in delivering excellent educational outcomes in one's professional work.
  • A clear understanding of the fields of theology, scripture, liturgy and social justice.
  • Personal commitment and involvement in the liturgical life of the Church.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Vision of Aquinas College and the place of Catholic Life in the evangelising mission of the College.
  • Familiarity with the 'Attributes of an Aquinas Student' as it relates to matters around Catholic life and formal religious education.
  • Experience in working with colleague staff and young people in the promotion of a range of 'discipleship' opportunities.
  • A deep understanding and knowledge of CEVN/CEM policies as they relate to the College's evangelising mission and Religious Education program.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the position.
  • A high degree of professionalism.
  • An ability to work independently and within a team and executive leadership environment.
