Assistant Principal - Organisation

The Assistant Principal - Organisation is a senior, executive leadership position. The major purpose of this role is to support staff so that they are able to perform their professional responsibilities as an employee of Aquinas College to the highest possible standard and to ensure compliance with relevant employment agreements and legislation is maintained.  

The successful applicant will have:

  • An understanding of Ministerial Order 870 on Child Safety as it relates to the College's Code of Conduct, policies and procedures and practice.
  • Proven ability and experience in delivering excellent educational outcomes in both teaching and learning.
  • An ability to articulate and action the Mission and Vision and the School Improvement Plan of Aquinas College.
  • An understanding of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement.
  • The ability to ensure that the timetable reflects the learning and teaching needs of students and teachers.
  • The ability to ensure the daily routine supports the educational program of the College and that staff are kept informed of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Responsibility for the safety of staff, students and visitors and shall Chair the OH&S Committee and take responsibility for the management of College facilities.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of the Policy Handbook, compliance framework and dissemination of this information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the position.
  • A high degree of professionalism.
