Director of Counselling Services

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and inspired person to the position of Director of Counselling Services. This appointment to commence at the beginning of the 2016 school year. The Director will oversee that the range of counselling work of the Youth and Family Centre located within the College is of a high professional standard. The YFC Team provides services based on a continuum of care model and the Framework for Student Support Services in Victorian Schools. This is a full time ongoing position. 

The YFC team comprises Educational Psycholgists; Social Workers and Youth Workers. All members work collaboratively within a supportive team framework. 

The successful  candidate; 

  • will have relevant knowledge and experience in counselling, best practice principles and crisis intervention. 
  • will have experience working with individuals and small groups  and  supporting staff and students around mental health issues. 
  • will have a commitment to the philosophy and ethos of Catholic Education
  • will have a current WWCC and Police Check
  • be an Australian resident or have a current Australian work visa.
