At the heart of the VCAL program at Aquinas is an acknowledgement that we are preparing students for life at the completion of a students formal secondary education.
Our aim is to ensure students are work ready and exit our program possessing a range of skills which will enhance their employment opportunities. These skills include communication, problem solving, initiative and the ability to self manage, all of which we hope establish our students as self directed and motivated life long learners.
Structured workplace learning opportunities in Year 11 help students to develop potential career interests. This is expanded in Year 12 where many of our students are able to source further sustainable opportunities in the career of their choice. It must be noted that workplace learning is a compulsory not optional component of the VCAL program we offer.
